You must finish a forklift truck driving course in order to be certified to operate a forklift truck in the UK. The course duration will be determined by the kind of certification you want and your past experience. But the training takes about five days to finish on average. A forklift certification or forklift licence has no set expiration date, in theory. To ensure the excellent performance and safety of operators, the industry does, however, generally agree that a forklift driver licence should be updated every three years.
